SIGMA Close Enough to Touch:
House of the Contemporary
The house, based on an award-winning design by the architects Allmann, Sattler and Wappner, won't be presented to the general public until the Bundesgartenschau 2005 (the annual National Garden Festival Germany). The house was built to represent contemporary life in a tangible context for the purpose of 'hands on' analysis.
We conducted an experiment in which we asked three families from three SIGMA milieus to furnish the House of the Contemporary from top to bottom.
Once the BUGA 2005 has been opened, it will be possible to view the House of the Contemporary. Our experiment will be fully documented there by means of photos and films. Have fun at the House of the Contemporary!
